Redwork Santas

This quilt is just adorable. Cathy, the piecer, did the redwork. It is all different Santas. The sashing and borders are santas with lots of flowing beards. The back is royal blue. What, royal blue. Then I noticed the little pieces of background behind the bearded Santas is blue. I used Superior So Fine It's a Boy ( a light baby blue) in the bobbin so it really shows on the back but at least it is still in the blue family.

I decided to try Superior Highlights thread in silver for the front of the quilt. I outlined the Santas and then stippled inside the blocks. I used lots of windy swirls in the borders and sashing. Quilter's Dream Select batting.

My life has changed in the last couple of years - some bumps, I retired from quilting, and then I moved to Texas. I'm anxious to see what new adventures await me in the next phase of my life.
