Another Square in a Square

This is the second one of these that I've done. She had me do Baptist Fans on the first one. It looks very traditional and she liked it. But this one she wanted it to be "sweet". I used Hermione Agee's Alfresco panto.

The fabrics she used were all 30 reproductions. The borders and back were 30's green. I toyed with the idea of using a pale yellow but she wanted white. I used a chain stencil in the border and every little bloop shows. I minimized my stops and starts which means that I had to trun the quilt to give SID and that border a chance to not look awful. I quilted and frogged the border several times. The field came out nice but I was not happy with the border.

My life has changed in the last couple of years - some bumps, I retired from quilting, and then I moved to Texas. I'm anxious to see what new adventures await me in the next phase of my life.
