I bought the Florentine Fantasy pattern several months ago. It is a DragonLadyQuilt; it calls for fabric with an 18-inch repeat. The only one I could find was this blue with metallic gold. The fabric is not my style but I really wanted to try the pattern.
It was a fancy stack and whack. Maybe I can find a nice floral. I used the Dervish template for the Hartley Fence to quilt the center of each block. I used Norma Sharp's Chantilly Lace pattern for the border. I really like the way the borders and corners turned out. I'll have to use that one again. Since the front is so busy, you can see the quilting on the back.
