The Bento Box

This glittery charmer is all copper, golds and greens. The back is a coordinating green. The perfect panto was Kathie James' Fern Meander. It is big undulating fern
leaves that go back and forth across the quilt top. I used a glittery variegated thread, Superior Rainbows named Brass Band on top. I wound the bobbins myself using Signature Sea Foam green. It is a lap quilt, 56 x 7o.

Sharna's Crazy 9 Patch

This is Sharna's Crazy 9 Patch. This is a popular pattern because it is darn
near foolproof for beginners and the quilt shop in our little town is named Crazy 9 Patch so there is at least one class a quarter.
The quilt is pretty scrappy and quilting does show up well. So I decided to use my Hartkey Fence to make concentric circles on the 35 blocks. I also used the HF paisley stencil since the border fabric was a blue paisley.
I used Signature Navy blue thread on top and Superior Bottom Line Dark Blue in the bobbin. This is my first quilt for Sharna. I hope she likes it.

Mema's Flannel Lasagna

Flannel lasgna?? I thought it was pasta and ricotta cheese!!

Mema made a lasagna pattern quilt out of outdoorsy-looking flannel.
It looks toasty warm.. The back is offset with some of the leftovers. I used the maple leaf panto that Jody Bento designed. The thread is Signature's Mother Goose, top and bobbin.

Jody's Scrappy Stars and Geese

Jody was also in the Scrappy Stars and Geese class a few weeks ago. She chose some fun fabrics with gold metallic and butterflies. She made all her stars with different color star points. The quilt was less formal than Christi's so I wanted to have some fun with it; butterflies, spirals, feathers. She loved it.

But the back is the talk of the town. It could be the front. It is all flying geese and bars. WOW.

I used Signature Parchment thread on top and Superior prewound creme bobbins.

My life has changed in the last couple of years - some bumps, I retired from quilting, and then I moved to Texas. I'm anxious to see what new adventures await me in the next phase of my life.
