Light at the end of the tunnel

I just got approval for a procedure called a Kyphoplasty for this Thursday.

It is outpatient surgery done by a radiologist. That's a new one for me. He puts a needle in my spine where T10 is located and then shoot some Elmers glue in there. LOL. I'm sure it isn't Elmers but it is a glue to fill the crack in the vertebrae. The doctor told me that I would be back to normal by Monday. That sounds so good to me. I am so tired of the muscle relaxers and pain pills. And I am tired of sleeping in my living room recliner. I do sleep through the night but it will be better when I can sleep alongside my husband. I'm counting the days.

My life has changed in the last couple of years - some bumps, I retired from quilting, and then I moved to Texas. I'm anxious to see what new adventures await me in the next phase of my life.
