Heaven is richer by one

Her name was Betty Adams but most of us called her Mema. She taught me how to applique. She taught me much more than that. She survived a bad marriage, lost retirement and upheavals of all sorts. But she stayed gracious through it all. I am so glad that I said "I love you" when we spoke on Wednesday. She will be missed. And heaven has one more quilter today.

My life has changed in the last couple of years - some bumps, I retired from quilting, and then I moved to Texas. I'm anxious to see what new adventures await me in the next phase of my life.
