Time to build an ark

OK, I am pretty much tired of the rain. There is lots of wind, too. The ground is saturated and now the streets are overflowing with mud, tree branches and debris. And then the electricity went out.

A new procedure here in San Diego went into effect last year. When the wind kicks up in the back country, San Diego Gas and Electric now turns off the electricity to prevent the wind knocking down power lines and causing a fire. Hellllooooo, it is raining.

And here is my own personal tragedy. It's a Golden Raintree. It is about 4 years old, about 15 ft tall and had beautiful pannicles of yellow flowers in July this year. The tree just fell over. The hole is full of water. I am so bummed.

Rain, rain, go away, come again, another day.

Oh, Linda, I'm sorry about your tree. I have been seeing reports of houses in CA sliding down the hillsides. I know your house is on level ground...but hang on girl friend! We have gone through the snow, and is is pretty much melted, but we have been in a deep fog for about 7 days now....Enough!! I'm ready for summer, how 'bout you?

My life has changed in the last couple of years - some bumps, I retired from quilting, and then I moved to Texas. I'm anxious to see what new adventures await me in the next phase of my life.
