BOM #4

This one is done in black and whites. I used 2 different King Tut threads on this because I wanted the border to show. I used Pumice in the border and Rosetta Stone in the inside with Superior So Fine #408, Silver in the bobbin. This is the customers Warm and Natural batting. The digitized design is from Intelligent Quilting and is called Dusty Miller Grande.

Time to build an ark

OK, I am pretty much tired of the rain. There is lots of wind, too. The ground is saturated and now the streets are overflowing with mud, tree branches and debris. And then the electricity went out.

A new procedure here in San Diego went into effect last year. When the wind kicks up in the back country, San Diego Gas and Electric now turns off the electricity to prevent the wind knocking down power lines and causing a fire. Hellllooooo, it is raining.




And here is my own personal tragedy. It's a Golden Raintree. It is about 4 years old, about 15 ft tall and had beautiful pannicles of yellow flowers in July this year. The tree just fell over. The hole is full of water. I am so bummed.

Rain, rain, go away, come again, another day.

12 Days of Christmas with Photos

This is a bit late but the holdiay quilting season was a frenzy at my studio this year. My apologies. I hope that you enjoy the photos.

This is a pattern by Micky Swall. It is applique done with the Pearl Periera freezer paper method. I finished it back in December but was too busy to take close-up photos. I got several ideas for the background fill from my guild president, Friendship Quilters of San Diego. I got photos of the front and back. I used Madeira Monolon on the back. So here are the photos.





































































































All photography done and it is rolled up on its roller and ready to go home.
