I arrived yesterday. Travel is not the fun it once was. Partly beacuse of security and partly because I'm older. I was relieved to get here. After some Red Bus issues at MCI airport, I made it over to Terminal C to meet LauraJ. She had already paged me once at Terminal B. We planned this so carefully. but did we exhange cell numbers. Uh, no. There she was waiting when I arrived. Well, part of her was there. Laura has lost a ton of weight but her face and smile are the same as they were when we met at Carla Barrett's Quilt Whisperer up in Sacramento.
We made it to the hotel thanks to Garmin. My friend, Mary Beth, picked up our friend, Claudia Pfeil. Poor Claudia got re-routed to Iceland and finally made it to Kansas City 4 hours late. She looked tired and hungry. It is good to see old friends.
Registration starts Monday morning at 7 A.M.

I am so sorry for your loss.
I, too, am happy you said 'I love you' last Wednesday. You will always remember that.
It is so nice to read your little post about Betty Adams. I am touched by her journey - and her graciousness. And for the love in your heart for her and what she has taught you - not just in sewing, but about life.
Her life is a lesson for us all, isn't it?
My blessings to you - I am happy I found your blog - it looks great! I will have to wander around it more.
