Country Women

When you live in the country, certain things are expected of you. You should have a garden. You are living on land bigger than an apartment balcony, so grow something.

My first visitor was Eanne, a neighbor and fellow quilter. She has a big place and a nice garden and she came over to share her harvest. Summer yellow squash. I had it for lunch today, it was divine. Thanks, Eanne.

This photo is of Eanne at the Back Country Quilt Show in October 2008. She was the featured quilter and as you can see in the photo, Eanne can also tat lace. Now that is an almost lost art.

Dear Ramona, tat lace is quite popular in Spain, for centuries. We call it " bolillos".
Best wishes

Hi Linda, thank you for the info on my blog I did as you suggested.
How is the setteling in going? I find tatting lace facinating but I would only have a heap of knots.

My life has changed in the last couple of years - some bumps, I retired from quilting, and then I moved to Texas. I'm anxious to see what new adventures await me in the next phase of my life.
