Jake-Jake the Pillow Snake

I made this quilt in a class at the CraZy 9 Patch this pas fall. I finally assembled it and made the decision that my son, Jacob, would receive this quilt. Knowing that helped me choose the green flannel. I am not a big fan of flannel so I chose the "good stuff" since Jake likes flannel. I decided to put Quilter's Dream wool batting and I am so happy about that. It is so lofty. I did a freemotion branching pattern trying to keep it open. I hope he likes it. Of course, his kids ( ages 6, 3 and 2) will probably try to snag it, too since they inherited his love of flannel.

The name of the quilt is an old nickname of Jacob's. When I couldn't get him out of bed for school, I called him Jake-Jake the pillow snake and tickled him until he got up.

Thanks for looking.

Hi Linda,
I had a listing for your old blog and I'm so glad I found this one! Your quilting is wonderful!
Remember me. I have your prewounds up here in No. Calif.

My life has changed in the last couple of years - some bumps, I retired from quilting, and then I moved to Texas. I'm anxious to see what new adventures await me in the next phase of my life.
